Priming Chalk Markers
Steps to Prime:
Shake the Marker:
- Cap the marker securely and shake it for about 15–30 seconds. This ensures that the ink inside is evenly mixed.
Remove the Cap:
- Take off the cap, exposing the tip of the marker.
Press the Tip Down:
- Place the tip of the marker onto the paper or surface and gently press it down.
- Hold it down for a few seconds, then release.
Repeat Pressing Motion:
- Pump the tip by pressing it down and releasing several times (5–10 times or more, if needed). You’ll notice the ink gradually saturating the tip.
Test the Marker:
- Once the tip is fully colored with ink, draw or write a few lines to ensure the ink flows smoothly.
Recap After Use:
- To prevent the marker from drying out, always recap it tightly after use.

- Avoid over-pumping to prevent ink overflow.
- If the ink flow slows during use, shake the marker again and gently press the tip a few times to reactivate the flow.
- Store markers horizontally to keep the ink evenly distributed.
